for a family hotel it was not at all child friendly . the swimming pool was filthy ,games room the same and the queue`s for breakfast, dinner etc were shocking. i would not recommend it to anyone ., total waste of money . any b&b would be far superior
Proximity to Dromoland Castle where we attended a wedding.
.The fact that it was central to the places the kids wanted to visit and thats about it.
I found most of the staff ok but a couple of the staff not very helpful. There was a hole in the base of the bed and holes in the duvet covers, the walls of the room very dirty and the kettle didnt fit into the connector. There was lots of noise and the food was disgusting and definetly overpriced for what you got. Wont be staying at that particular hotel again.
Found it very good place to stay and great value for money great for kids
Not a thing!
It is a sadly run down and neglected hotel. Rooms are not up to even basic standard: curtains hanging off, bedcover ripped, radiator patched up and not working, sockets loose from wall ( dangerous) and bathroom dingy and old. Ok if you need a place to make a pit stop but certainly no more than that. Very surprised it is still allowed to operate - given the poor and shabby state it is in.
I was very impressed with the spacious lodge we got. It was very peaceful there and i slept great. The facilities were excellent.
I liked everything.
we loved the hotel for the way they made the kids the priority, kids cant wait to go back , decor might be dated ,but that is only a tiny gripe , value for money friendly staff , location close to limerick and ennis and next door to dromoland castle , it made for a great stay.
dated decor , and charging 50cent s for childrens mi-wadi,when every pub in ireland gives it free
Staff helpful and friendly, the Clare people are lovely as always!
room smelled of drains pillow smelled of vomitus and no hot water for shower/bath.The general appearance of the hotel was grotty, the bathrooms were stained. Needs upgrading to stay in the trade.Repair work needed in many areas.Food was cafe standard .
Ease of access to main road, childrens play area.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, pool and gym very useful, excellent breakfast.
I was at a wedding there in July the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was beautiful couldn't find fault. The room rates were also very reasonable. Rooms were nice & spacious.
Only thing that i can fault is that the toilet in our room was blocked.
We choose this hotel as it was cheap and close to Dromoland castle where we were attending a wedding.
The Ironing room is horrendous! It is called the family room so it has a fridge etc. It was filthy. The floor was unswept and the irons are completely useless. If they had a few decent irons for the hotel at least people could borrow and bring back to reception in case someone else wanted to use it.
The staff were friendly and helpful
The Hotel needs an update with rooms and the bar it's still back in 1970s. Needs to be more modern
The food and staff were very good.
Hotel in need of a major refurbmishment, very drab. I did not like the way my credit card was charged for the room before my arrival and then when I paid my bill on leaving the money for the room is still a pending transaction on my card and the hotel is saying it is nothing to do with then when I contacted them, very unhelpful. I have to deal directly with my bank to get the money back
the staff were very friendly and helpful, its was v good value for money , great if you are touring the west of the country and are looking for reasonable rates
